  Prof. Dr.-Ing. Klaus Müller studied mechanical engineering at the TU München (Technical University of Munich) and passed his MBA at the INSEAD in Fontainebleau.

From 1966 to 1991, he gained extensive experience in the following industries: chemistry, paper manufacturing and processing, machine tools, pumps, accessories and fittings as well as plant engineering. In the positions of managing director and member of the board he was in charge of research, development, sales, production, quality assurance and controlling or bore the whole entrepreneurial responsibility.
From 1991 to 1995, he headed the division for wood,
  cellulose, furniture and paper of the Treuhandanstalt (agency that privatized the East German state owned enterprises). At the same time, he was the managing director of the “Treuhand-Osteuropa-Beratung”, a one hundred percent subsidiary of the Treuhandanstalt and active as a consulting company in 15 countries of Central and Eastern Europe.

Since 1996 he has been working as an independent management consultant, focussing on Eastern Europe. Amongst other things, he set up the sector Eastern Europe for a globally active consulting firm. Prof. Müller is a honorary professor at the TU München in the field of management and efficiency analysis.
